Sharing our sidyllic corner of Sussex countryside with award-winning Dedbest Distillery we’d had no excuse not to create a very special cocktail of our own.
A dash of their friendly welcome from Damian and his team with their incredible Gin, mixed with a 5-minute stroll through the fields to their Milling Room distillery from your comfy cabin, serves up a very special stay indeed for our guests.
In the Old Mill Room on Crockstead Farm, through the courtyard where ducks often ramble by, near the Horse stables, is the DedBest distillery. Here is where their beautiful Hibiscus and Lemongrass infused Gin is made and bottled. Damian has set up a lovely space here with a bar and distillery table in the midst of the stills and bottles.
Join Damian for a tour, Gin-making experience or simply some guided tasting with cocktail creation.

No need to stretch your legs more than a couple of steps! Have an ‘at home’ experience with the gin and gin-masters coming to you! In the cabin, and out on the sun deck, enjoy a Cocktail Creation Class with Damian’s Contractor’s Dry-Gin and Contractor’s Sussex Oak Charcoal filtered Vodka. Learn to make a Tamarind & Hibiscus Old fashioned, a Sage Spritz, our personal favourite a ‘French ’75’ and many more.
Had one too many? Never fear, it’s only two steps back to a confy sofa or King Size bed to sleep off your exertions!

Maybe you just want to partake and keep it private at your own pace? Just get a bottle in! Even better, we’ll do it for you. Choose this as an extra at check out and we’ll leave you a welcome 70cl bottle of Contractor’s Dry Gin, some tonic, lemons, and ice in the freezer ready to go.

Our first glamping experience is going strong in beautiful West Sussex. This beloved converted American school bus, Skoolie Stays, launched in June 2021. It was inspired by a family gap-year travelling 14,000 miles across America. Living off-grid, getting closer to nature and each other, was an incredible experience and so positive for our physical and mental health. When we returned to the UK, we shipped a bus over to convert ourselves so that others could enjoy it too
