  7. We strongly advise visitors to take out full holiday insurance to cover cancellations, public liability, personal belongings, loss etc.
  8. In the event that we need to cancel your holiday we shall inform you as soon as possible and refund all money paid to us, by you, within 14 days.
  9. If we close The Vacationist (e.g. due to extreme cold weather causing frozen water pipes) which will mean a lost day or days to your booking and you have yet to arrive you will be refunded.
  10. Should extenuating circumstances demand it, we may be forced to move location. We will endeavour to give as much notice as possible to guests. If we consider the new location to be comparable and within easy reach of the location chosen at the point of booking, our standard cancellation policy applies.

7. Limitation of our liability

  1. Nothing in this section limits or attempts to limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by Our negligence or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter for which it would be illegal or unlawful for us to exclude or attempt to exclude Our liability.
  2. If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a direct and foreseeable result of Our failure or Our negligence.  We shall not be responsible for any losses that you suffer that are indirect or not foreseeable, including, but not limited to, loss of income or revenue, loss of business and loss of anticipated savings.

We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this.
  4. Where we are responsible for your loss, Our maximum liability shall be no more than to refund the amount paid by you for the holiday.
  5. Anything you bring to the campsite or wider farmland and any damage or loss to your possessions is at your own risk. You use the facilities and amenities at the camp at your own risk, e.g. the log burning stove and side deck.
