May 2024 saw the inaugural event of a new series of mini festival gatherings by Crockstead Collective on the farm that we share with them. To kick off the 2024 season, they are hosting a family-friendly 3-day camping weekend brimming with music, activities, delicious food, and dancing. Our job: provide the best festival glamping experience for a family of lucky guests! From daytime garden games and treasure hunts to evening live bands, funk & soul DJs, and fireside jams. There’s something for everyone to enjoy. If you stay at the cabin for two or three nights over this weekend, you will have access included in your accommodation price. That’s the normal £200 per night for the cabin, plus just £80 for full access to the site and experiences, a short stroll away. Also, though the cabin only sleeps 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) your friends could also hire nearby bell tents or yurts, or bring their camper vans. Three food suppliers offering a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options daily, with ample choices for vegans and vegetarians. In addition there is a main bar in the central marquee open from 11am to 1am daily. You will also find a special woodland cocktail bar serving drinks throughout the day!
Come and enjoy Brighton DJs playing funk, soul, afrobeat, and reggae during the day in the marquee. Later on, night time entertainment includes a silent disco running until the early hours and live bands at the Pagoda along with an open mic session and spoken word performances.
Strolling the grounds, you will find various garden games like crazy golf, coconut shy, nerf shooting gallery, and table tennis. There are also organized games planned for Saturday leading to a pub quiz in the main tent. Child-friendly activities at the Pagoda in the mornings and a kids’ tent filled with games and crafts will keep the littlies happy. And for chilled evenings, come and watch nightly family-friendly film screenings at 8pm at the Pagoda.
Normal tickets include a camping pitch for the entire weekend for campers with their own tents. Main site campers all have hot showers and compost toilets are available on-site. The upgrade options – apart from the very best, your cabin! – include furnished bell tents that can be rented through the main ticket page also.
The Vacationist has been converted with the environment in mind. Lovingly hand-crafted by carpenters and creatives searching to reduce the carbon impact of holidays, the cabin is the perfect balance of comfort, escapism and eco- solutions.
With two yurts and a whole fields for campers and tents, plus upgraded furnished belltents for hire too just for this festival glamping weekend, this could be a perfect opportunity for that summer get-together with a group of friends for 2 or 3 nights. With loads to keep the kids busy also
The cabin is a short stroll from the main camping and entertainment site on Crockstead Fields. Your field is not accessible to other campers, but you can cross the fields to enjoy the festival anytime. You have your own road access and private parking in your field.
